Submissions

Ripples Magazine accepts original unsolicited submissions all year round from writers, poets and illustrators in all disciplines and practices from anywhere in Australia. We favour the strange and unusual, the 'ooh' over the 'doh!' and the emancipated imagination over timid line-toeing. We publish quarterly (or whenever something brilliant arrives) and are always looking for something new.

As this is a very low budget production at the moment, we can not offer payment for submissions. Instead, we are happy to offer every contributor a free copy of the issue in which they are published. Please make sure that your submission conforms to the following points in order for it to be considered.

Fiction & Poetry
~ Original fiction works up to 5000 words or poetry with preferably less than 50 lines
~ Easy to read printed text
~ Carriage return between paragraphs
~ Cover Sheet containing: Title, Word Count, Author and Postal Address
~ Title and Author's name on every page
~ Pages numbered

* Please include a stamped, self addressed envelope if you wish your manuscript to be returned. All others will be recycled.

Illustrations
~ Do not send original art works! High quality photocopies only.
~ Must be Black & white or able to be converted from colour
~ Title, Author's name and Address on the back of every page
~ A5 or able to be reduced

~ Fiction and Poetry manuscripts will only be accepted if included in the body of the email along with Cover Sheet information.
~ Illustrators may include a web address to direct us to specific works already hosted on the Internet.
~ Illustrations must be saved at a minimum of 300dpi.
